These people….my Favorites
I’ve been over and over how to introduce this family to you. My words don’t have the depth of meaning that I want them to carry as you look at these photos. All I can say is that they are my favorites. I can’t imagine my life, my day, without this family. I do love them so.

Now a little back story on the actual session. We stopped in Leavenworth on our way back home from a weekend in Chelan. Whatever you might think about Leavenworth, if you bring with you someone from Switzerland…well, then…it turns embarrassing. It might be fun and kitschy go and buy taffy and pretend to be in the Alps when you are with other Americans who understand that we tend to fabricate charm because we don’t have the years behind us to make charm on it’s own but to bring someone who lives by the actual Alps…you get my point, right? Also the piped yodeling/accordion music made me want to step in front of a bus! So C’s boyfriend is from Switzerland and was with us for the trip. I got some great photos of C and M while there. Knowing the back story, this one is pretty funny, don’t you think? -

Here are a few more. It was hard to pick just a few!
After the session we went to this amazing Mexican food place called South…in Leavenworth…next to the Australian shop…Anyone getting this?! Anyway, this place was so yummy. I’d even brave the yodeling to go back. And they give the kids those little wax sticks to play with while you wait for you food.
Just stop it with the cuteness, will you?!
I realize that I talk about yummy babies a lot on this blog. I’m sorry. I just can’t help it. I just want to eat them up! I’m mean, will you look at this one?!
See!! Yummy! And he giggles like the recording of a perfect baby giggle when you chew on his cheeks. I’m salivating again. His mom said he’s addictive. I agree!
And his sister is personality with a capital ‘P’!

No girl should be without a skirt to twirl in. I still remember my favorite twirly skirt. My mom made it for me for just that purpose.
And here are a few more of my favorites from the day-

See what I mean?! Y U M M Y!!
One more from last shoot
When you start a shoot, everyone is a little stiff and unsure with frozen smiles and a fear of getting their clothes dirty. But once the kids realize that I’m just there to play, they often have a lot of fun. “Hey, take a picture of this!” “Hey, watch me do this!” Here’s what the boys wanted me to take a photo of in the last shoot “Hey, my brother wants you to take a picture of him jumping over me and then crop me out.”
I think I like it better with the brother in, don’t you?
I just love my job!
I did another extended family photo shoot Mother’s Day weekend. So fun!! Let me share some of my favorites~

Are you kidding me with those eyes!!

Time for funny faces!

I love all the little details that come with kids, or anybody for that matter, like jewelry, toys, shoes..
And I can never get enough of kids feet!

Don’t you just want a little nibble of those toes!!
Thank you all for such a fun session!!
How do you say “Great Family” in Dutch?
I had the privilege of photographing a family who were all together in Seattle for a holiday. They were super fun! Here are some of my favorite shots from the day –
Hello Bright Eyes!

Isn’t that last one romantical (I know…not a real word. But is should be!)?! I think I also taught them a new English word – “Smootch”. Thank you for such a fun photo shoot D family!!
Walkin’ in Sunshine, woah oh!
Sorry, now you’re going to have that song stuck in your head too!
I can’t get over the glorious sunshine we’ve had lately here in rainy Seattle. I couldn’t let a sunny weekend go by without getting out there and shooting so I went out with some friends who’ve been waiting to have their family session for awhile. Well, to be fair, Staci wanted to go out. As for the rest, they weren’t so keen on the idea but I still got some great shots of the poor tortured souls.

Blue Steel

I think this one might be my favorite…

See? That wasn’t so bad now was it?
Not ugly…
You might recognize my friends from a previous posts (Baby W) and my website. I thought I’d show you some photos I took of them for their Christmas card.

See what I mean?! NOT ugly!

Here’s Baby W. He’s grown so much since his birth day!

And I had to show you the many faces of A!

Thank you guys for a fun day with you all and a small baby fix! Love you!
Yup, they’re in trouble…
Meet C. Nearly cobalt blue eyes, throw on an every-ready smile and then add dimples! Well! She is a wee charmer for sure. Her parents are in trouble with a capital T!
We met at Lincoln Park in West Seattle on a day that even in the morning the forecast was saying it was going to rain all day or at least be cloudy but as you can see we had glorious sun for this family session. But you could have thrown this one in a dirt pile during a down pour and the pictures wouldn’t have suffered! She that cute, people.

Sweet, isn’t she?!
Thank you guys for showing me a new spot!
Marathon Session – Part Two of Two… Whew!
So here we are again with the MOMS group. Last bunch! Once again, I wanted to thank you all for being such a great group and so much fun with beautiful, wonderful kids. Its amazing to me how much I genuinely liked being with you all despite how much work it was! I can honestly say how blessed I feel to be with you during these photo shoots.
So here are the rest of the shots from the day in no particular order.

I also wanted to tell you about how I kept staring at one dad’s picture and trying to figure out why he seemed so familiar. There was just something nagging at me and then finally it hit me. He’s Jesus! Bet you all didn’t know that about Chris. Plus his name is CHRIS…put a T on the end and there you go. You’re not fooling us, Jesus. We know what you look like from our Children’s Bibles.

My friend Ryan (who knows Chris) thinks he looks more like Barry Gibbs – Bee Gees lead singer. You tell me.

Ha ha!!
Anyway, thanks again families! If I forgot to post a family, please forgive me. I tried to get at least a sample from every family but I have this nagging feeling I left someone out. I’m really pleased how they all turned out!
